Both are releasing their first albums since the altercation and both are coming clean with how the February incident has affected them.

AceShowbiz - Former lovers Rihanna and Chris Brown chose the same week to talk about the unfortunate incident that happened in February this year. While Rihanna, as reported earlier this week, decided to go one on one with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America" (GMA) and "20/20", Chris opted to be more honest than his "Larry King Live" interview in MTV special.

Rihanna's interview is divided into two segments, the first one being aired on Thursday, November 5 as part of "GMA". Rihanna admitted that she indeed went back to Chris shortly after the February incident when he hit, choke and bit her. "When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result into some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part," she opened up.

She explained further, "I couldn't be held responsible for telling them, 'Go back.' Even if Chris never hit me again, who's to say that their boyfriend won't? Who's to say they won't kill these girls?" Rihanna even said that it was "embarrassing" that she fell in love with such person, adding "So far in love, so unconditional that I went back. That's not what I want to teach people. But I'm a human being, and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. All these expectations - I'm not perfect."

Meanwhile, Chris' interview with MTV will air at 6 P.M. ET on Friday, November 6, shortly before the second part of Rihanna's interview is aired on "20/20". Billed as "the most revealing and candid interview yet", the MTV special will find Chris being more honest about the incident, something that he chose to hinder while on "King". He taped the hour-long segment with MTV host Sway Calloway at his Virginia home.

Apart from talking about being "confused" of what the public perception of him like previewed below, Chris also recalled the incident which happened inside a rented Lamborghini before the Grammys. "My thoughts is like, 'Why did it happen? Like, 'What was I thinking? What is wrong with you?' That's what I'm thinking with myself. That's what my thoughts are, basically, now," he said.

"It's like, 'How do we get past it? How do you, Chris' -- talking to myself -- 'how do you go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?' "

Rihanna will release her new album "Rated R" on November 23 while Chris Brown will release "Graffiti" on December 15.
