Sugababes Cancel Live Concert Due to Legal Issues

Due to line-up change, there are a number of legal issues which need to be finalized before Jade Ewen can perform with Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah as Sugababes.

AceShowbiz - Sugababes have to pull out their scheduled performance at the Royal Concert Hall on October 8 due to "legal issues". They opened up about the reason behind the cancellation on their official website, "Following the recent and well documented change of line-up to Sugababes, there are a number of legal issues to be finalized by all parties in order that the band can move forward."

"I haven't signed a contract so we can't perform as Sugababes," new member Jade Ewen explained further. "The previous line-up signed up to do the show and there's money involved. Until lawyers get this sorted I can't sing with the band. It's really annoying - I'm raring to go."

As a gesture to all those who have been disappointed by this cancellation, Sugababes have agreed to perform a gig at a future date (TBA), the profit of which will be donated toward the Scottish Royal Variety's chosen charity, the Royal Blind Society.

"This is such a disappointment to all of us because not only were we looking forward to this being our very first gig together, but my dad happens to be blind and my mum is partially sighted, and I know firsthand the great work the charity does for families like mine," Jade said. "That's why Heidi [Range], Amelle [Berrabah] and I have agreed to put on our own gig to support this massively worthwhile cause. We can't wait to visit Scotland in the near future!"

Sugababes lost one of their members Keisha Buchanan in September this year. The remaining members of the group then recruited Jade Ewen to fill in Keisha's shoes.
