Divorcing his wife Brandi Glanville after eight years of marriage, Eddie Cibrian says in a statement issued Thursday, August 27 that he asks for privacy while the divorce proceeding is on the work. Besides, he also promises to stay committed to his and Brandi's two young sons; Mason Edward and Jake Austin.
"From the outset I have made a conscious decision to try and keep this matter private and not discuss it in the press. While my wife and I are dissolving our marriage, we will work together to parent our two children," read Eddie's statement. "I love my boys very much. I want only the best for them and am committed to being a devoted father."
"I will continue to be respectful and sensitive to this issue by not doing interviews about this ongoing private matter. I wish everyone would do the same," read the end of the statement.
Eddie Cibrian filed for divorce from Brandi Glanville, whom he's been married to since May 2001, earlier this week. He cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split. He is now romancing actress-singer LeAnn Rimes, who's been rumored having an affair with him following their pairing in TV movie "Northern Lights".
