A spokesperson for PETA confirms the animal rights organization has approached Lady GaGa to pose nude for their next "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign.

Animal rights organization PETA has approached singer-songwriter Lady GaGa to pose nude in support of their anti-fur campaign. Not without reason, but PETA wants her to be the next model for its "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign due to her rather unique fashion style, particularly Kermit the Frog outfit that she was spotted wearing last month.
PETA's spokesperson tells MTV News that they are still waiting to hear back from GaGa about posing for the campaign. In the meantime, another spokesperson for the organization also reveals that PETA hopes to shoot GaGa covering herself up with just a few playing cards, which is meant as a nod to her hit single "Poker Face".
GaGa herself has publicly made her anti-fur declaration recently when she appeared on a U.S. TV show wearing a coat made from The Muppet show star Kermit the Frog soft toys. At that time she said, "I really loved this one because I thought it was a commentary on not wearing fur, because I hate fur and I don't wear fur."
And should GaGa accept PETA's offer she will join the likes of Eva Mendes, Christy Turlington, Khloe Kardashian and Pamela Anderson, all of whom have declared they'd "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur."
