'America's Got Talent' May Have Found the Next Susan Boyle

Kari Callin, who is claimed by numerous reports in the media as the next Susan Boyle, advances to the next round of 'America's Got Talent' after stunning the judges with her bravado performance.

AceShowbiz - "America's Got Talent" continues its search for talented people on an episode aired Wednesday, July 15. Giving a look at an audition in Seattle, the recent episode featured a bravado performance from middle-aged woman Kari Callin, who was claimed by numerous reports in the media as the next Susan Boyle.

Kari appeared on the audition stage in a red top and blue jeans. The radiology technician delivered West Side Story's song called "Somewhere", and stunned audience and judges panel. She advanced to the next round.

Other acts which were given a pass to the second round included a dance troupe called Destined 2 Be. The group consisting of five men danced to "Shawty Get Loose" by Lil' Mama, and performed robotic movement during the set.

In addition to Kari Callin and Destined 2 Be, there were nine other performers who were chosen to compete in the next round by the judges during the Wednesday episode. Judges Brandy*, David Hasselhoff, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne will seek other talented people across U.S. on the next episode broadcast on July 21.

Previously, Mariah Carey was confirmed to make a live performance in this NBC's TV show which is hosted by her husband Nick Cannon. She was set to sing her new single "Obsessed" from her upcoming album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" on August 5.
