Kings of Leon have launched their own record label under the partnership with Los Angeles-based music publishing company, Bug Music. They have signed Indie rock band The Features as the label's first musical act.

In the meantime, the Caleb Followill-fronted band are preparing for the release of The Features' new album "Some Kind of Salvation". More details about the project will be announced in the coming weeks.

Commenting on his partnership with Kings of Leon, CEO of Bug Music John Rudolph says, "Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan [Followill] are extraordinary tastemakers and constantly absorbing new sounds from all over the world." He explains more, "The honesty in their music is what draws them to genuine artists. We are excited about developing new artists together as Bug Music continues to innovate and challenge the industry's traditional thinking of a publisher."

In related news, Kings of Leon are set to rock the first day of 2009 Lollapalooza Music Festival on August 7 at Chicago's Grant Park. The four-piece band will be joined by White Lies, Fleet Foxes, The Decemberists, Of Montreal and Depeche Mode. The band's performance will be followed up by other live appearances from the likes of Arctic Monkeys, TV on the Radio, Santogold, Glasvegas, Tool and Beastie Boys among others on the next days.
