Movie

The 'Transformers' beauty answers the big question regarding what character she is playing in 'Jonah Hex', stating that she plays a prostitute who wouldn't hesitate to use her gun.

AceShowbiz - The identity of Megan Fox's character in upcoming movie "Jonah Hex" has been disclosed by the movie beauty herself. Opening up to MTV about her femme fatale character, the star of the highly anticipated "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" confirmed that her character will be a prostitute named Leila.

About Leila, Fox explained that the character "wasn't really featured in the comics" and has undergone several name changes, recalling "Her name was initially Liala, and now they changed it - or it was Layla, and now they changed it to Leila." More on the identity of the deadly, beautiful and mysterious character, the 23-year-old said, "She is a prostitute. She's a good ol' working girl, and she's a love-interest to Jonah ... of sorts. I mean, it's by no means a classic type of relationship."

While all the women featured in the movie will be prostitutes, Fox insisted that her character will be a different one. "[I'm] sort of a tough, no-nonsense prostitute. Like, she'll shoot you in the head if she has to. And she does!" the starlet gushed, before revealing further on the gun shooting scene. Of it, she said, "Not in the head. [But I get to shoot someone] somewhere."

"Jonah Hex" is directed by Jimmy Hayward with Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar and Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman serving as producers. It is based on the DC Comics' Western anti-hero character created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga. Josh Brolin stars as the titular character, while John Malkovich will portray Quentin Turnbull, and Will Arnett takes on the role of a Union soldier who enlists Jonah Hex as a bounty hunter. The movie is set to open in U.S. theaters August 6, 2010.
