The actor said he will star in 'Money Never Sleeps' opposite Michael Douglas and will have to take college course-like in preparation.

AceShowbiz - Previously only a speculation, the casting of Shia LaBeouf in the remake of 1987 film "Wall Street" is now official. The confirmation came straight from the actor's mouth, who said that he got a lot to learn about the terms used in the financial world.
"I don't know what ... a credit derivative is," LaBeouf said. "I have no idea. I don't know what a CPO is. IPB. LVC. You gotta know ticker names." He further described the film as "a walk and talk money movie" which is "wordy and heady."
Filming will begin in August, just in time after LaBeouf finishes promoting his latest movie "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". He will star opposite the original actor Michael Douglas and probably also Javier Bardem who was rumored taking the villain role. Oliver Stone once again is on the director's seat for the remake, which is now titled "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps".
There have been some informations regarding the role that Shia LaBeouf will portray. His character is engaged to the daughter of Michael Douglas' Gordon Gekko but his life turns upside down when he discovers that his mentor unexpectedly kills himself. Suspicious that Javier Bardem's character has something to do with it, he seeks revenge by asking Gekko, who tries to mend his relationship with his daughter, to help him.
The film is expected to be in U.S. theaters as of February 2010.
