Friends of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden publicly reveal some facts that lead to speculation the couple's second child will be a baby boy.

Expectant celebrity parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will have a baby boy, In Touch Weekly reports. "Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and - surprise, surprise - it's blue," a friend of the couple testifies about the details that prompt speculation on the sex of the forthcoming infant.
Giving more evidence that strengthens the assumption, another friend says Nicole refers to the baby as "he." "Plus, she recently ordered some plush animals and infant toys from FAO Schwarz, and everything just happens to be blue," adds the friend.
In addition to the baby's sex, In Touch Weekly also reports that Nicole will give birth to the baby she's carrying in August later this year. Though so, there haven't been official words from Nicole, Joel, or their people.
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who have been together since 2006, announced in February 2009 that they are expecting their second child. They, in the meantime, already have one daughter named Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who was born last year.
