'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' reaches the 1000th milestone and to pump up the occasion the producers of the talk show brought in Oprah Winfrey via Skype to surprise Ellen.

Ellen DeGeneres had a surprise visit from fellow talk host Oprah Winfrey who was there to congratulate Ellen on the 1000th episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". Oprah's appearance was beamed via Skype from her office on Friday, May 1.
The producers told Ellen that she has a call and when she turned around it turned out to be Oprah. Sitting with her dog and a glass of champagne in hand to congratulate Ellen, Oprah said "I really just wanted to say congratulations. I know what it takes to do 1,000 shows, and I, like everybody else, wish for you 1,000 more."
"You make our lives so much more fun and entertaining. And the grace with which you do it all is just really magnificent - so congratulations."
Along with the occasion, Oprah brought the editor of "O" magazine, Gale King, to announce which issue of the magazine that the two of them, Oprah and Ellen, will be sharing the cover in.
