Lindsay Lohan tells Ellen DeGeneres in an interview that she is working to get her career back on the right track after splitting up with Samantha Ronson.

AceShowbiz - Sitting down for an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", which will be aired on Thursday, April 23, Lindsay Lohan gets candid about her recent break-up with lesbian girlfriend Samantha Ronson. "I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn't seen her in, like, a week. She, like, disappeared," says the actress-singer when recalling the day she split from the DJ.

"I feel like I want to get my career back in shape," Lindsay frankly tells Ellen DeGeneres on how she is feeling at the moment of speaking. "When people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you're more concerned about being with the other person. I think it's been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn't been."

Addressing the many reports of Samantha's family seeking a restraining order against her, Lindsay says, "I was like, 'I don't understand'". She goes on explaining, "It came out of nowhere. I've supported Charlotte and I've never done anything for people to assume I'm dangerous," when making a reference to Samantha's twin sister Charlotte.

Asked by Ellen on what she's going to do in the near future, Lindsay reveals she is focusing on her career. "There are some shows I'm producing that I'm really excited about. I'm doing a movie in October," she claims.

Lindsay Lohan had been dating Samantha Ronson for nearly a year when she publicly acknowledged the mounting reports of them breaking up early this month. Following her confirmation, Lindsay then poked fun at her single status in a video featured on FunnyOrDie.com.
