'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' Longer Than First Film
Movie

Director Michael Bay has spilled the bean on the running time of 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen', uncovering that it will be four minutes longer than 'Transformers'.

AceShowbiz - "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will indeed run more than two hours long. Recently, director Michael Bay has confirmed the matter to MTV, while providing more details on the running time. "It's four minutes longer than the last one," he said, comparing it to "Transformers". "So, go figure it out."

With that said, it means that the sequel will be 147 minutes long. Commenting on the length of the robots war movie, the man behind Bruce Willis-starring "Armageddon" shared his opinion, "I don't ever talk (to executives) about run times. Studios always ask, 'What's the run time?' And I'm like 'If you enjoy the movie, do you care?'"

In another "Revenge of the Fallen" news, IESB has come up with a possible detail on Megatron's return as it pointed out a posting at TF08 report about the back cover of the baddie's movie-based toy. "Trapped in the black, crushing depths of the sea, his mind inert in the grip of stasis lock, Megatron knew nothing of the desperate search mounted for his remains by the other Decepticons," the description began.

"When he was finally brought back online, their effort and sacrifice meant little to him," the back cover further read. "The only thing that had any meaning was revenge. He would have his vengeance against the human boy who cheated him of his prize, and he swore to celebrate over the smoking wreck of Optimus Prime."

Set a year after the end of "Transformers", "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" follows Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes as they become the target of attack by Decepticons because of Sam's knowledge about the origins of the Transformers. Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro are returning to the sequel with Isabel Lucas as well as Rainn Wilson joining the cast. It is slated for June 24 U.S. release.
