AceShowbiz - Briefly linked to "Footloose" remake, Chace Crawford apparently has been signed for another feature film project where he will share screen with 50 Cent. Both the "Gossip Girl" star and the rapper have been announced to be among the cast ensemble of feature adaptation project "Twelve".
While it is still unclear what particular character they will be portraying in the film, they will star alongside other newly-announced cast members, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Ellen Barkin and Kiefer Sutherland. They are expected to join director Joel Schumacher when production starts in New York April 20.
"Twelve" is a feature adaptation of Nick McDonell's novel, which details on teenage drug use and decadence on the Upper East Side. Set up by Gaumont, Radar Pictures and Original Media, the movie will use the script written by Jordan Melamed. It will follow a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer, whose life sours when his cousin is brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.
