From the sneak peek of My Chemical Romance's 'Desolation Row' music video, it is seen that the Zack Snyder-directed video is inspired by 'Watchmen', showing singer Gerard Way wearing a mean shiner.

AceShowbiz - A music video, which is inspired by blockbuster movie "Watchmen" to support My Chemical Romance's song "Desolation Row", is available to peek through newly-outed snippet. Brought forward by MTV, it previews frontman Gerard Way sporting a mean shiner and a butterfly bandage over his eye.

"Desolation Row" is a song made famous by Bob Dylan in 1965 and has been exclusively covered by My Chemical Romance for the soundtrack of "Watchmen". While the LP is due for U.S. release on March 3, the Zack Snyder-directed film will arrive in U.S. theaters three days later on March 6. The music video, which was also helmed by Zack, meanwhile will come out in full on Friday, January 30.

My Chemical Romance themselves have been busy recording new songs for their not-yet-titled album. Gerard shares that they have worked on Sex Pistols-typed sounds for the record. He explains, "We really went for that Sex Pistols-type sound. Some people that I've played for, their first reaction was that it's British, it almost sounds like Slade. So that was really interesting - I guess we're never really going to shake some of that British glam."
