Pouring cold water to the mounting reports that Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan are engaged and about to make public their engagement soon, a representative for the actor confirms to Access Hollywood that the stories are false. "He is not engaged," the representative says in a statement.
Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan first met on the set of The CW's teen dramedy "Gossip Girl" when he played a recurring role, called Carter Baizen, alongside her character Blair Waldorf. New York gossip column PageSix previously reported the twosome were engaged and already made it public on their "secret" Facebook pages. They, moreover, were also claimed to have been planning to marry.
However, a source has confirmed to US Weekly the supposed Facebook pages were fake. A representative for Leighton refuses to comment on the actress' personal life.
