It looks like that the 'Buttons' hitmakers are going to head to the silver screen with a planned semi-biographical project.

AceShowbiz - The burlesque dance troupe-turned-music group The Pussycat Dolls are going to bring their story to the silver screen. Following the footsteps of another girl band Spice Girls to get their own movie, the R 'n' B quintet are said to be looking through scripts for their semi-biographical feature film.

Sharing out the scoop, a source told Daily Star, "PCD are getting a lot of film scripts to look through at the moment. It's gonna be semi-biographical, about their rise to fame, with loads of dancing and singing." Chronicling the group's rise to stardom, the movie allegedly will be featuring their past hits as well as future releases, and it may have some celebrity cameos as well.

Consisted of Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, PCD have broken out to the music industry when their "Don't Cha" single from their debut LP "PCD" reached #1 in various countries in 2005. The group will be releasing their second studio album entitled "Doll Domination" on September 23. Commenting on the new album, lead singer Scherzinger said, "We want to take PCD to the next level. One of the guests on our new album is Timbaland, so you never know who might turn up."
