Here is a recap report on the first two days of the 2008 San Diego Comic Con.

AceShowbiz - Celebrating the annual multigenre fan convention, the 2008 San Diego Comic Con has been kicked off on Thursday, July 24 and will wrap up on Sunday, July 27. Since then, this traditionally four-day event has been made merry with panels as well as previews of the upcoming and highly anticipated feature films.

Rounding up the first two days of the event (July 24 & July 25), AceShowbiz presents the recap of what had happened at the Comic Con.

Watchmen Video Footage

On Friday, July 25, Warner Bros. Pictures have screened a five-minute video footage from the forthcoming "Watchmen". Shown after an introduction given by director Zack Snyder and several member of the cast ensemble, such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jackie Earle Haley and Carla Gugino, the footage displays most of the main characters, especially Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan, Nite Owl and the second Silk Spectre. It exposed how Rorschach falls deep into his investigation, Manhattan's takes his mortal incarnation as well as the blowing up of the Owl Ship by Nite Owl and Silk Spectre.

The Wolfman First Look

On the same day of the presentation of "Watchmen", Universal Pictures presented the exclusive first-look footage of "The Wolfman". With its special effects artist Rick Baker and stars, Benicio Del Toro and Emily Blunt on the panel, an extended trailer of the Joe Johnston-directed remake was introduced. The trailer opened with a scene where an old man telling the story of a mysterious creature attacking his village and how his father uses silverware to save himself from the beast. Decades later, Del Toro's character returns to his home without realizing that he is a werewolf until bodies are fallen. It is then showed that he is being hunted and captured, but turns to werewolf and terrorizes the town. The compilation of clips ends displaying the alter ego of the werewolf saying to his love interest that he is a monster.

The Spirit New Trailer

During the presentation of "The Spirit", Lionsgate and Odd Lot Entertainment introduced a new trailer of the Will Eisner's adapted comic book. The trailer which can be seen below was played after a discussion with the panelists that include writer/director Frank Miller, producer Deborah Del Prete and cast members, Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson and Jaime King has been done.

Red Sonja Teaser Posters

The 2008 SDCC has also brought out the two new teaser posters for Robert Rodriguez's "Red Sonja". The movie starring Rose McGowan follows a victim of a tragedy in becoming one of the most feared female warriors of all time as she embarks on a quest for vengeance on those who destroyed her family.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Extended Clip

The four minutes clip of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" that has been previewed at this event on Friday, July 24 has come out. It showcases the so-claimed battle of Christophisis.

Saw V Teaser Trailer

During the first day of the Comic Con, an exclusive teaser trailer of "Saw V" has also been previewed.

Punisher: War Zone Red-band Footage and New Trailer

On the first day, the event also unraveled red band footage as well as the trailer of "Punisher: War Zone". While the red band footage can be seen through the previous report, the new trailer can be enjoyed below.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the Hugh Jackman Interview

Australian actor Hugh Jackman has made a special appearance at the Comic Con and gave an insight to his upcoming movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". In an interview, he talked about what to expect from the "X-Men" spin-off film.

Also revealed on the footage the characters from several different X-Men story-lines, like Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth, Dominic Monaghan as Beak, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.

Max Payne New Posters

RoboCop Got Director and Screenwriter

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) confirmed that they have signed Darren Aronofsky to direct and David Self to write a new installment of RoboCop franchise.

Tr2n Bootleg

Having Jeff Bridges back listed on the starring, Tron 2 (with new title Tr2n) will be released in 2010. Below is a bootleg video which is a Disney's surprise, but not a good quality.
