'Batman' Star Christian Bale to Be Villainous Robin Hood
Movie

The actor who is known to be the hero in 'Batman' movies, has been negotiating to play the prince of thieves, the villain in the twisted movie version of the Robin Hood movie.

Christian Bale's name has been listed to be among those who have patterned memorable Batman in the public's mind with his portrayal of the superhero in his early year in "Batman Begins" and many have waited to see him once again as the bat-themed action hero in the latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight". Still, one particular person apparently sees him to be perfect as the legendary thief, Robin Hood.

According to latest report, director Ridley Scott has expressed his interest on having the "3:10 to Yuma" star to play the prince of thieves in his twisted tale of Robin Hood in "Nottingham". But, no signing has been done, especially with words are suggesting that the 34-year-old Bale is still 'in talks' phase for the role opposite Russell Crowe as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sienna Miller as Maid Marian.

Scripted by Ethan Reiff, Cyrus Vorisa and Brian Helgeland, "Nottingham" picks up the triangle love story between Robin, Marian and the Sheriff. The twist for this latest Robin Hood movie is that Robin won't be the hero and the Sheriff won't be the villain since their roles will be switched over and the Sheriff will be depicted to be the noble lawman while Robin will be the chief suspect in a series of murders. The production is scheduled to be started before the summer of 2008 ends so that it can be finished at the time of its theatrical debut on November 6, 2009.
