He has signed on to produce and lend his voice to Fox's new cartoon, titled "The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx".

AceShowbiz - Making a leap from music to small screen, Tommy Lee is about to produce and lend his voice to Fox's new animated TV series. The Motley Crue drummer is reported to have signed on to join the cast of "The Life and Times of Jimmy Jaxx," which will be produced by the team behind the 2007 film "Blades of Glory."

The Fox TV show, which is currently under development by Smart Entertainment to be screened on the Fox Network, is based on Lee's life story. It follows an out-of-control rock star on the road who tries to balance his experiences in a band with his calmer home life, but is constantly distracted by his tattoos which come to life and attempt to lead him astray.

On him taking part in the upcoming project, Lee commented, "I've always loved the animated world. How fun and kooky is this gonna be, to combine some real-life experiences with some seriously over-the-top humor."

Aside from his music career with his rock band Motley Crue, Lee is widely known as the former husband of actress Pamela Anderson. The former husband-and-wife are parents to sons; Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger. Despite the separation, they still maintain a good and close relationship with each other.
