Initially planned to walk down the aisle next year, Jamelia has changed her mind and is bringing forward her wedding to fiance Darren Byfield to next month.

On-again and off-again couple Jamelia and Darren Byfield are planning to rush down the aisle, bringing forward their initial wedding plan from next year to next month. All preparation is underway, it has been claimed.
Jamelia, "went to New York to record her album and missed him. So when she got home she said 'what are we waiting for?' and brought it all forward," a source told the Mirror. Revealed to the publication that she's planning the wedding herself and has made plans for the details, including that of 10 bridesmaids, the venue and catering, Jamelia however has yet found the gown. "I haven't found a dress yet. I have an idea what I want but I haven't found the one," so she said.
Jamelia, an R&B singer-songwriter, and footballer Darren Byfield are longtime lovers. They are parents to daughter Tiani. Jamelia also has another child, Teja, from a previous relationship. In October 2007, they announced their engagement after calling it quits in August.
