One of the twins from the Australian music group The Veronicas is heading for the altar. Singer Lisa Origliasso is engaged to marry former "American Idol" contestant Dean Geyer. The pair, who've been dating for a year, made public their engagement in a joint statement issued Monday, April 28.

"Dean Geyer and Lisa Origliasso, together with their families, are delighted to announce they are engaged," the statement said. "The couple have been together since April 2007 and are thrilled to share their news."

Lisa and Dean first met at the ARIA Awards in 2006, when The Veronicas won the Best Pop Release Award for their debut album "The Secret Life Of...".

Love life aside, Lisa and her twin sister Jessica Origliasso recently released The Veronicas' sophomore album, "Hook Me Up". Dean, elsewhere, released his debut album, "Rush," May last year. Has since then turned his attention to acting he joined the cast of the beloved and long-running Australian soap opera "Neighbours" last month, playing aspiring singer, Ty Harper.

The very loved up couple, in the meantime, are still discussing on a marriage as Dane recently told Gold Coast radio station Hot FM, "It's looking good at the moment, but we've still got our whole career lives to live out. We'll see how it goes - I'm not saying no."
