The actor who depicted the lead character in comedy film "Charlie Bartlett" Anton Yelchin is being reported to possibly star in "Terminator Salvation". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 19-year-old actor has been negotiating to take the role of Kyle Reese who has been described to be the father of the lead character John Connor in the original film.

If indeed being tapped as one of the cast, Yelchin will be playing the teen-version of Reese. He will also star in the action thriller film alongside Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. Still, Hollywood Reporter noted that whether Bale who played John Connor and Yelchin would meet in a scene has yet to be known.

Yelchin garnered recognition from the filming industry when he exceptionally portrayed the young version of Bobby Garfield in the movie "Hearts in Atlantis" co-starring Anthony Hopkins. For his acting in the film, he won the best performance award for a leading young actor at the 2002 Young Artist Awards. He then continued to star in a crime thriller "Alpha Dog" followed by "Bartlett". He will next be seen in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" set to bow in theaters on May 8, 2009.
