Paris Hilton will make a pit stop on the small screen. The celebrity socialite is set to guest star on the hit TV show "My Name Is Earl", starring as herself.

Paris, whose latest big screen project "The Hottie and the Nottie" was a box office flop, will star in the hour long episode titled "I Won't Die with a Little Help From My Friends." In the episode, Earl, who is played by Jason Lee, is unconscious and Paris is one of the people who appears in his fevered mind.

The "I Won't Die with a Little Help From My Friends" episode is the first new material following the writers strike settlement. It airs April 3 later this year, NBC said Tuesday, March 4.

The show's executive producer, Greg Garcia, said "When we wrote the role of Paris Hilton in the script, we weren't exactly sure who to go with for the role. But after an exhausting search we finally settled on a relatively unknown actress by the name of Paris Hilton. I can't wait to see what she does with the role and I can't wait for America to discover her."

Paris' next big screen effort, "Repo! The Genetic Opera", opens April 25.
