Carmen Electra's new comedy project "Maxim's Mardi Gras" will go into production soon. According to Variety, the Phil Dornfeld directed-film has been set to start the filming on April 29. The principal photography will take place in New Orleans.

Starring also Nicholas D'Agosto, Josh Gad and Brett Harrison, the Screen Gems' movie follows the journey of three best friends who take off for Mardi Gras in search of a real party. The script is written by Josh Heald, while the movie will be produced by Peter Jaysen, Zanne Devine and Josh Shader.

Prior to starring in this comedy movie, Electra has had a series of comedy films' credits behind her including, "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" alongside Steve Martin and Eugene Levy, "Date Movie" with Alyson Hannigan and "Scary Movie 4" along with Anna Faris. In 2008, she can be seen in another comedy film "Meet the Spartans" in which she is joining the cast of Sean Maguire, Diedrich Bader and Kevin Sorbo.
