A publicist for rap icon Eminem has confirmed that the star was rushed to the hospital over the holidays due to complications from pneumonia.
In a statement released Tuesday, January 8 Em's publicist, Dennis Dennehy revealed "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, was under doctors' care at Detroit-area hospitals for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
Dennis Dennehy, however, remained tight lipped on the multiple reports which claimed Eminem's hospitalization over the holidays was due to serious heart condition and that he now weighs in at 200 pounds.
Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, rose to stardom thanks to a number of best-selling CDs, personal lyrics and a starring role in the hit 2002 film "8 Mile."
Notwithstanding with his high rising music career, Em wasn't quite lucky in love life. He remarried and re-divorced wife Kimberley Anne Scott in 2006 and has since then remained low profile, spent most of his time in the studio producing tracks for fellow rappers on his label, Shady Records.
He and Kim have one daughter together, named Hailie Jade.
