Looks like the adventures happening at New York City's American Museum of Natural History will have its continuation.

Yes, "Night at the Museum" writing duo Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon have made an exclusive confirmation to Dark Horizons at this year's San Diego Comic-Con stating they are back for the sequel to the hit flick and have just started writing its script.

While giving no hint about the plot details, the twosome, also known as the creators of cable comedy series "Reno 911!", did provide a bit info about the project, revealing that "there'll be existing characters and plenty of new ones."

No word yet whether director Shawn Levy will also return to the follow-up, but the site has claimed that Ben Stiller and Robin Williams have both signed on to reprise their roles in the pic. Stiller, member of the so-called 'The Frat Pack', can be seen on the big screen this year in "The Heartbreak Kid" while Williams currently is showing up in theaters as Reverend Frank in "License to Wed."
