Music

Mika's pop signature is going to roam Westlife sound as he will write a song for the Irish band.

AceShowbiz -

British new sensation Mika will write a song for Irish band Westlife. The exquisite and unique sound that Mika has written in his debut album "Life in Cartoon Motion" is hoped to bring freshness in Westlife's new album.

"Mika has given pop a good kick start again in the fun department and turned around many opinions that the scene had perhaps gone a little stale," a source told Daily Star. "Westlife have been around for nine years now and want to freshen up their sound so Mika is exactly the man to do that."

Mark Feehily one of Westlife band members is quoted saying, "Good pop doesn't fall out of trees. Not many writers are writing for pop now."

Off the news, Mika has encouraged all of his fans to dress "ridiculously and fabulously" for his upcoming London show. He said, "I want my fans to be part of the show at Somerset House, so I want as many people as possible to come dressed as ridiculously and fabulously as possible. All those coming in an outfit will be photographed and posted on my website www.mikasounds.com in our gig gallery. Watch out for some other surprises too!"

Mika's gig is at Somerset House along side Lily Allen, Kasabian, Mogwai, Amy Winehouse and Hot Chip on July 17.
