Numbers of famous musicians, including Noel Gallagher and James Blunt, are joining forces for a new charity project.

Music stars are teaming up, making good deeds with their status by designing their own guitars to raise money for charity.

There are around 30 music acts to be involved in the special project, among those are Noel Gallagher, Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, James Blunt, Paul Weller, James Morrison, The Kooks, Razorlight and Dirty Pretty Things.

All of them are about to design the fibreglass Les Paul guitars, which are then going to be displayed around London during the summer before going on auction in September.

The project will see each band or musician being paired up with an artist who will then paint the design, with Gerlald Scarfe and Peter Blake will be involved.

The guitars will help raise money for the likes of Teenage Cancer Trust, The Prince's Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.
