Jennifer Aniston is slated to receive the Vanguard Award at this year's Los Angeles GLAAD Media Awards on April 14th.

AceShowbiz - Many thanks to her big lesbian kiss with best friend Courteney Cox on TV show "Dirt" that Jennifer Aniston gets so much love from the gay and non-profit organization Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). The community will thus honor the actress with the Vanguard Award.
Slated to receive the award at this year's Los Angeles GLAAD Media Awards on April 14th, Aniston's rep revealed that the actress was 'very honored' by the award, saying "She never expected this. But she's very honored and very happy about it."
The Vanguard Award, in fact, is presented to media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
In addition to "Dirt," Aniston has also starred in "Friends" which included a portrayal of a lesbian family and "The Object of My Affection," telling a story of an alternative family. She, furthermore, is known for her gay-friendly roles in other projects, such as the film "Rock Star" and a music video for Melissa Etheridge.
