Maradona was taken by ambulance to a Buenos Aires clinic after suffering an unspecified "imbalance" in his health.

AceShowbiz - Health issue hit the soccer great, again. Argentine football legend Diego Maradona was rushed to a Buenos Aires clinic Wednesday March 28th after falling ill from over-indulging in food, alcohol and cigars, it has been reported.

Maradona arrived at the Guemes health clinic in the Argentine capital in an ambulance and "has entered the sanatorium for medical studies following an imbalance he suffered today," the clinic said in a statement.

Won't provide further details, the clinic said the "imbalance" Maradona suffered "was not related to an addiction to dangerous drugs."

Speaking on the athlete's condition, his personal physician Dr Alfredo Cahe claimed, Maradona was "fine" but "has had problems for some time with food, (alcoholic) drinks and tobacco" and was likely to remain hospitalized for several days.
