Trouble has approached P. Diddy. The music mogul is facing a lawsuit brought by a man who claims the star punched him in the face outside a Hollywood nightclub last week.

In the lawsuit, filed Friday March 2nd in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Gerard Rechnitzer claims he and his girlfriend ran into Diddy at the club, Teddy's, inside the Roosevelt Hotel in the early morning hours of Feb. 25. Diddy was talking to Rechnitzer's girlfriend when Rechnitzer approached. Diddy then yelled at Rechnitzer "in a threatening and ominous matter."

Further the court documents stated that Diddy then "intentionally, willfully, knowingly and unlawfully attacked, assaulted and battered" Rechnitzer, causing him to "fly backward several feet" and hit a parked car. The suit further alleges that Diddy pushed Rechnitzer's girlfriend and "attempted to spit on another female member" of Rechnitzer's group.

Rechnitzer's attorney, Michael Marzban, won't elaborate on the lawsuit, saying "Everything you want is in the complaint." Elsewhere, Benjamin Brafman, an attorney for Diddy, denied that the rapper had hit anyone and said the plaintiff merely wanted to cash in on Diddy's celebrity status.
