Wayne Rooney has been dropped as the face of Asda after just three months.

England footballer Wayne Rooney has been drooped as the face of supermarket giant Asda's advertising campaign after just three months. That's bad of course for the fact being dropped means Rooney has to loose a £3 million deal.

It is said that Rooney has been told he isn't worth the money following his poor World Cup performance. Though so, Rooney's fiancee Coleen McLoughlin is still in demand and will continue to front the George at Asda clothing range over the next year.

A source tells the Sunday Mirror, "Initially the deal was £3 million for Wayne and Coleen together. They were dead chuffed. But Asda's American owner Walmart took a dim view of how much it was costing, England's poor performance in the World Cup and Wayne's minimal contribution to the team."
