Rapper DMX gets an extra. A plus. But, this isn't in positive ways. The star, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was sentenced to a 70-day in prison, Friday November 18, for violating his parole and being late to court, an action which was considered by a New York judge that he hadn't shown respect for the court.
On Friday, the rapper apologized to the judge for his lateness the day before, saying that he had an asthma attack and producing a doctor's note. Though, Judge Dorothy Chin-Brandt was very upset to him because of his consistent failure to comply with her rules and regulations. "She said his whole attitude has been terrible and one of disregard," DMX's lawyer, Murray Richman said.
However, the term could be reduced to 46 days, depending on his behavior in jail. So, you better watch your step friend, unless you want to spend more time there.
