The Elliot depicter, who is struggling with drug addiction, is blasted online following an interview in which he claimed that the show-provided 'sober coach' failed him.

AceShowbiz - Dominic Fike landed in hot water after opening up about his future on "Euphoria". The actor, who is struggling with drug addiction, was blasted online following an interview in which he claimed that the show-provided "sober coach" failed him.

In the interview, Dominic appeared to blame the coach for failing to keep him sober while filming the hit HBO series about drug addicts. He additionally claimed that he's unsure if he will return for the show's season 3.

Upon catching wind of his remarks, fans quickly shared their opinions against him. "Grown man blaming someone else because he couldn't control himself," one user wrote in an Instagram comment. "maybe don't sign up to work on a show about drugs if you're a drug addict...?" another added.

"That victim mentality is what turns people into addicts and then the drugs heighten it x10," someone else said. Echoing the sentiment, one person noted, "you are a grown man, take responsibility for your own actions, if a job is damaging to your health and could threaten your life, don't take it. bye."

Speaking to Variety, he said in an interview which was published on Friday, January 19, "I am a pretty big drug addict myself, believe it or not. When I was on 'Euphoria', they kind of just gave me like, a coach who would just talk to you. It was whatever. It was just some random lady."

Dominic shared that his coach was "just like, 'Don't do drugs!' " He also called the coach "just a random lady that I'd never relate to," before adding, "We have nothing in common. We didn't come from the same places or the same problems. It was hard to take advice from someone like that or give a s**t."

Prior to this, Dominic claimed that he was almost fired from "Euphoria" for his drug use. Admitting that he'd filmed scenes while high, he said during an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music back in July, "I was reprimanded for it. I almost, you know, got kicked off the show.... They were like, 'Bro, you cannot be doing this.' "
