The 'Wipe Me Down' rapper ponders if has to postpone his wedding date in April after he's denied permission to make contact with his fiancee for another 60 days.

AceShowbiz - Boosie Badazz (formerly Lil Boosie) has to continue to be separated from his lady love despite planning their future together. The rapper has revealed plans to marry his fiancee Rajel Nelson during his latest federal court appearance.

On Friday, December 12, the Baton Rogue native appeared via phone for his latest court appearance at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. The proceeding discussed a motion Boosie filed on Thursday, January 11 asking U.S. District Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo to modify his no-contact order.

According to Courthouse News, the 41-year-old's attorneys requested a modification to the terms of his release to allow him to resume contact with Rajel, whom he has not been allowed to make contact with since the beginning of his federal trial in June 2023.

"This is his fiancee who he lives with. This seems like a fairly serious curtailment of his personal rights," the judge reportedly explained per Meghann Cuniff's Legal Affairs and Trials. "And I'm not quite sure what the basis of it is other than the sort of vague assertion that she may have evidence."

The judge added that Rajel was not a witness to Boosie's case and was not present during his initial arrest in relation to his gun charges. Boosie's attorney Damon Alimouri additionally claimed, "It's vague, unless we have some details to fill the gaps."

However, the prosecution disagreed. "We vehemently oppose that," Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Wheat said. The U.S. attorney reportedly convened with the judge to explain that the prosecution has security concerns.

The judge ultimately imposed another 60-day of no-contact between Boosie and Rajel. If there are no other objections from the government once those 60 days are up, Boosie's request will be granted.

That's when Boosie interjected to reveal his wedding plans. "Can I say one thing?" he reportedly asked, adding that he and Rajel are scheduled to marry on April 1. "Me and my fiancee was having a wedding. Do I need to set it back?"

While his attorney advised him to remain silent, the judge explained that if a "singular event" occurs amid the couple's no-contact order, Boosie can "certainly ask for the court to allow communication."

The news of Boosie and Rajel's wedding plans comes as a surprise since neither of them has ever confirmed their engagement.

Boosie was arrested on June 14 and appeared in a San Diego court for a gun case. At the time, the charges were dismissed, but upon his exit from the court, he was arrested by federal agents. It was later revealed that the arrest stemmed from his May 6 Instagram Live, during which he was spotted with a gun tucked into the waistline of his red pants.

He was subsequently charged with gun possession by a felon, similar to his previous case that the San Diego Police Department dismissed on June 14. Prosecutors initially wanted to keep Boosie in custody until trial, but the judge denied their request. The "Wipe Me Down" emcee was released from custody on June 24 after posting a $50,000 bond.
