AceShowbiz - Adele raises eyebrows after she looked very different with her bigger lips. The "Easy on Me" hitmaker has sparked speculations that she had lip injections after she was spotted with plumped-up pout.
On Wednesday night, July 6, the Grammy-winning singer spent time with her boyfriend Rich Paul after playing two gigs at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival. In photos surfacing online, her lips were noticeably plumper than usual, seemingly larger than just days prior at the music event.
Adele headed out to Greek and Mediterranean restaurant Avra with her beau, looking gorgeous in an all-black ensemble for the evening. With her blonde locks left to fall in a straight style, her complexion appeared natural as well.
Rich, in the meantime, donned a pair of purple joggers with a white T-shirt, adding a charcoal gray Biggie Smalls crew-neck jumper for the dinner date. After finishing their meals, the pair exited the restaurant through the back door, as sports agent Rich took to the driver's seat of a black car. Getting comfortable in the passenger's seat, Adele had a glimpse in the car mirror before they headed off.
Upon noticing Adele's very plump lips, many social media users believed that she underwent lip injections. "Okay, wtf is #Adele doing to herself??? Look at those lips! I can see this getting out of control FAST! Those things look like two gas station hot dogs!!" one concerned fan tweeted.
"Why does Adele do that thing with her lips?" asked a different fan. "What a difference money and fame makes!" added another, including a side-by-side of Adele at the beginning of her career and the singer now.
"Oh yeah, her lips look swollen. It must be lip filler. Soon, she will probably do her cheekbones as well and look like the bride of Frankenstein," someone else quipped. Another, meanwhile, said that Adele ruined her pretty face. "She should write a book: 'How to destroy a pretty face'. She seems to be an expert," penned the said person. A separate social media user believed that "theres something about Adele thats not quite right these days."
Adele has been on her fans' naughty list for remaining silent on her postponed Las Vegas residency. In January, she tearfully revealed that she had to cancel it due to COVID-19, but recently, she admitted that the show wasn't "good enough."
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs host Lauren Laverne on Sunday, July 3, Adele said, "I definitely felt everyone's disappointment, and I was devastated, and I was frightened about letting them down." The chart-topping singer continued, "I thought I could pull it together and make it work, and I couldn't, and I stand by that decision."
As for the status of the show, Adele shared, "Of course, I could be someone on TikTok or Instagram Live every day being like, 'I'm working on it.' " She later stressed, "Of course, I'm working on it! I'm not gonna update you if I ain't got nothing to update you with because that just leads to more disappointment."
