'Alien: Paradise Lost' Will Connect to Ripley
Movie

Director Ridley Scott said that the sequel to 'Prometheus' would have a connection to the iconic character appearing in his 1979 film, 'Alien'.

AceShowbiz - Director Ridley Scott gave a surprising information recently, revealing that the "Prometheus" sequel would be called "Alien: Paradise Lost". While fans wondered what the title meant, Scott hinted that the upcoming sequel would be connected to Ripley, a character from his 1979's "Alien".

Speaking to Empire, Scott said that although the title was quite unpredictable, the core story of the movie was not changed and it still served as the sequel to "Prometheus". "In a way it is 'Prometheus 2'," Scott said, referring to "Alien: Paradise Lost". "It's exactly the same story. But it was always in the works to be called that ['Alien: Paradise Lost']. Is 'Prometheus' actually taking us off course from where I'm going, which is actually backing into the first 'Alien'... I've even got connections with Ripley [in this], but I'm not telling you what."

However, the connection Scott teased contradicts what he previously said. He claimed that the "Alien" connection would not be included in the second "Prometheus" movie, but it would be in the third or fourth movie.

While it is an exciting news for "Prometheus" fans, there are rumors that Neill Blomkamp's untitled new Alien movie won't be made. When asked about whether he would work on the movie or not, Scott precisely confirmed that he would produce the movie as he debunked the rumors. "I'm producing it," Scott said. "The design is for it to go out next, after this. This will go out first. It's more associated with Ripley, it's a completely different angle, it's more of a sequel. I'm coming in from the back end."
