Possible First Look at Knights of Ren in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

The concept arts may give an idea how the mysterious group linked to Adam Driver's villainous character looks like.

AceShowbiz - Some new concept arts for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" have landed online. According to Indie Revolver which obtained the pictures, "some of these designs could have been re-appropriated and used as the Knights of Ren."

According to J.J. Abrams, the group is linked to Adam Driver's villainous character Kylo Ren. "He is a character who came to the name Kylo Ren when he joined a group called the Knights of Ren," the director explained to Entertainment Weekly.

The antagonist is described as "Vader obsessive." Abrams said, "The movie explains the origins of the mask and where it's from, but the design was meant to be a nod to the Vader mask. [Ren] is well aware of what's come before, and that's very much a part of the story of the film."

The film is due December 18. The Empire has morphed into a junta known as The First Order while X-Wing pilots now fly for a splinter group known as the Resistance. Princess Leia has come into possession of the lightsaber once possessed by her father, Darth Vader, and later lost by Luke when Vader separated him from his arm during that "join me" duel in The Empire Strikes Back.
