The actor who returns as David Levinson in the 'Independence Day' sequel is posing with producer Dean Devlin in the image.

AceShowbiz - Jeff Goldblum's return in the second installment of "Independence Day" is teased in a new set photo. Producer Dean Devlin shared a selfie on Instagram featuring himself and the actor on the movie set.

"Hanging with David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) 20 years later is a dream come true! #IndependenceDay," Devlin captioned the picture. Both of them donned glasses while smiling to the camera.

The second installment was reported to be two-part movie entitled "ID Forever Part 1" and "ID Forever Part 2". It will come almost exactly twenty years after the original film which hit theaters in 1996.

The upcoming aliens movie take place 20 years after the original, when a distress call sent by the first wave of aliens finally brings reinforcements to Earth. Goldblum returns as David Levinson and is joined by the likes of Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Jessie Usher, Liam Hemsworth, Joey King, Maika Monroe, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Vivica A. Fox, Sela Ward and Mae Whitman. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the film is set to hit U.S. theaters on June 24, 2016. Emmerich and Harald Kloser also produce the movie while James A. Woods and Nicolas Wright wrote the most recent draft.
