A high-powered consultant, Lucy Hill is an ambitious, up and coming executive who loves her upscale Miami lifestyle. When one day she is offered a temporary assignment to restructure a manufacturing plant, she jumps at the opportunity, not knowing that she will have to adjust her life to a tiny Minnesota town. What begins as a straight forward job assignment becomes a life changing experience as Lucy discovers greater meaning in her life and most unexpectedly, the man of her dreams.

Focusing on the out-of-the-box moments for Lucy, the trailer also shows the building-up romance between her and Ted Mitchell.
A romantic comedy from Danish film director Jonas Elmer, "New in Town" is scripted by Ken Rance and C. Jay Cox. It is supported by Harry Connick Jr. as Ted Mitchell and others, including Rashida Jones, Frances Conroy, J.K. Simmons and Nathan Fillion. It will be released in U.S. theaters on January 30, 2009.
