Collin Raye to Host 2008 Inspirational Country Music Awards


Collin Raye has been booked by a not-profit corporation to host as well as perform at this year's Inspirational Country Music Awards.

Multi-platinum recording artist Collin Raye will be hosting this year's annual show of Inspirational Country Music Awards. In addition to his hosting job, Collin is also booked to perform along side country musicians Tracy Lawrence, and The Isaacs, who are slated as the first performers.

Other artists to appear at the annual show are Grammy Award winning groups, Point of Grace and Greg McDougal with special guests, including Tammy Cochran, Del Way, James Payne, and Mike Rimmey. Meanwhile, additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming months.

The Inspirational Country Music Awards is a yearly event that are dedicated to honor biggest names and emerging talented artists who perform Christian and Inspirational Country music. It is also aimed at drawing music fans, broadcast media, and country top artists to showcase their songs and discuss music-related issues.

In addition, this year's event include a songwriting competition which can be participated by public and will run out on September 30. Judged by Nashville Executives, winner will receive 3-Song Production. For submission, the contestants have to send their lyrics in the form of CD with its typed copy and also a payment (40 dollars per song) to: ICM Week, PO Box 100584 Nashville, TN 37224.

Furthermore, scheduled for October 12-16 in Nashville, the show are presented by the 501C-3 not-profit corporation, The Christian Country Music Association. Nominees for the show can be found on their official website where the music fans can also purchase the event tickets for 45 dollars.
