Garth Brooks to Have Final Retirement After Charity Gigs

Garth Brooks said that he will end his public appearances after the charity concerts to help California wildfires ends tonight (January 26).

Garth Brooks has confirmed that he won't have anymore public appearances after the charity concert to help raising fund for California wildfires ends. The country singer who announced a retirement in 2001, specially agreed to help the good cause but vows to retire for good.

Brooks took the stage for two nationally televised concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center yesterday (January 25) and will perform other three today (January 26). The concerts which is broadcast on CBS encouraged people to call in and donate for the fire victims and firefighters. When the tickets were sold on December 1, organizers said that it was a sold out under one hour.

Announcing his final retirement, Brooks said, "I'm from Oklahoma. I know a lot about grass fires. I know a lot about wind and fire. I've never, ever seen wind and fire like I saw on the television. (But afterwards) we're getting ready to now drop off the face of the earth musically. Charity-wise, it never stops."
