Michael is starting his first day at Michael Scott Paper Company back in the same building where he used to work for Dunder Mifflin. His dream team of Pam and Ryan join him too. Michael is back and ready for business.

Things are in full motion at Michael Scott Paper Company headquarters. Michael's getting ready for his pancake luncheon for new clients and wants Pam to make printouts to hand to guests. Pam refuses. She left Dunder Mifflin to be a salesperson. If she does one task a receptionist would do, she falls into the same pattern. Worst part is, she really does enjoy making copies.

The small closetm which serves as headquarters for Michael's company, is too close for comfort. Between Ryan's loud phone calls and the echoing of the water running down the pipes every time some one in the building flushes a toilet, tensions are high. Pam is still refusing to make copies and Ryan believes making copies isn't his job, either.

Dwight has found an unlikely friendship with Andy. Once, they were sexual competitors, but now they actually find activities they can do together. All this changes when Kelly ("Erin") takes over Pam's job as receptionist. Both men find themselves vying for the pretty woman's attention. Andy sacrifices his crush in order to save his friendship with Dwight.

Jim is still trying to win over Charles' approval. So, when Charles asks Jim to create a client rundown Jim is right on it. The only problem is, Jim isn't clear on what a rundown really is. But since he's already agreed to do it, he can't really go back to Charles and tell him he doesn't understand the assignment. Jim guesses his way through his rundown and just faxes it to his dad for approval.

Kelly Erin walks in as Dwight and Andy are playing their guitar and banjo. Seeing how it's evident she enjoys their music, both men start showing off their musical talents to win over Kelly's ("Erin's") attention. As each guy concentrates on one-upping the other, they don't even notice Kelly ("Erin") has left the break room.

Pam secretly meets with Charles to try to win her job back. Charles tells her he's already replaced Pam and they are currently not hiring. Michael gets wind of Pam's secret meeting and feels worse. Michael's pancake luncheon is a bust and now he's beginning to doubt the dream of owning his own paper business.

Just as Michael Scott Paper Company looks like it might fold, Pam gets a call from a man she spoke to at the pancake luncheon. Russell is actually interested in placing an order at Michael Scott Paper Company. Ryan and Michael coach Pam as she is making her first sale. As soon as she's done, Michael, Ryan, and Pam break out into a dance.
