Jennifer, dreaming about the murder of families from a killer's POV, reaches out to Allison. She explains the dreams started after she survived a car wreck, but her parents died. Wanting to help Jennifer with her visions, Allison lets her stay at her house, surprising the girls and worrying Joe. Jennifer shows her version of clown face drawings like the murderer drew in her dreams to Allison. Jennifer dreams of the killer (Thigpen) stalking his next family, but this time hears his voice and sees his face in the reflection of a mylar birthday balloon. She gives the info to Scanlon and Allison thinks Jennifer is coming around. Allison dreams of Thigpen donating blood which was transfused into Jennifer after the wreck – this is how she's linked with him. Jennifer steals money from Allison's family, runs away, and tries to kill herself after seeing Thigpen kill a cop in the back of a refrigerated truck. Allison finds the clown decorated ice cream truck and Jennifer dreams of the cops chasing Thigpen who shoots himself in the face before she wakes up. Allison reassures her the nightmares should stop now and that her mother has been watching and looking out for her. Joe's big presentation is derailed by Keith, so Burroughs promotes Joe and Keith reveals his bi-polar condition. Later, Keith resigns and suggests to Burroughs that Joe get his job.
