Allison dreams of a little girl, Summer Lowry, who is showing classic symptoms of early-onset paranoid schizophrenia. Allison is called to a psychiatric hospital to help find an escaped patient, Keelin. Allison and Scanlon wonder how Keelin managed to escape since she only parrots what others say. Allison is surprised to meet Summer, Keelin's roommate, who seems well-adjusted and normal since murdering her parents years ago. Allison envisions the murders, but it’s Summer’s brother who committed the crime. The girls’ therapist is murdered in his home, supposedly by the escaped Keelin. Allison discovers that Summer and her brother were in cahoots, killing their parents to split the insurance money upon her release from the hospital. Summer kills her brother to keep the money for herself. Allison is able to prove, based on the Keelin's body being buried in Summer's garden, that Summer killed her and has been faking her illness all along. Bridgette deals with having her first crush on a boy.
