Marry Me Episode 1.10 Spoil Me

Annie and Jake are psyched to watch the season finale of their favorite show, "The Moors," but when they turn on the DVR, it says the episode was recently watched! This prompts an argument between the two of them, as neither will cop to being the one who cheated with "their show."

So Jake and Annie sit their friends down to find out if any of them watched "The Moors," but they all deny it. That's when Dennah suggests using her new cop boyfriend Gary's polygraph machine to get to the bottom of this once and for all. Jake and Annie agree, but Jake then pulls Gil aside and admits he did watch "The Moors" without Annie - but it was an accident. It was playing in Sports Authority and he couldn't help it! But he technically didn't watch it on their TV, so they still don't know who did.

That night, Gary and his partner Laguna Matata come by to administer the polygraph test. Once they're hooked up, Annie asks Jake if he watched "The Moors" finale on their TV, to which Jake honestly responds "no." When Jake asks her the same question, Annie also says "no." So who watched the show?!

Meanwhile, Laguna is super into Gil, but he's too awkward to make a move. After Kay gives him a pep talk, Gil finally gets up the guts to ask her out, and she excitedly says yes. Gil is still really nervous, so Dennah suggests making it a group hang to take the pressure off.

The next day, Jake comes home early and finds something shocking in the bedroom: Kevin 1 curled up in bed watching TV. Suddenly Jake has a realization: it was Kevin 1 who watched "The Moors" on their DVR! Kevin 1 explains that Kevin 2 talks through all their shows, so he likes to watch them first on his iPad. But he broke his iPad, so he started watching at Jake and Annie's place. He begs Jake not to say anything to Kevin 2 - it would break his heart to know his fiancé was cheating on him.

Later, Jake stops by Annie's office to apologize to her for accusing her of lying. But before he can do so, he overhears her leading a discussion about "The Moors" finale and learns she and her coworkers watch the show together every week. This is worse than accidentally watching the finale - this is betrayal!

Speaking of betrayal, Gil and Dennah's group hang is going perfectly - Laguna even kisses Gil - that is, until Gary leans over and plants a wet one on Laguna.

"Did y'all just kiss?!" exclaims a stunned Kay.

As it turns out, Gary and Laguna aren't just partners on the force, they're partners in life as well. They're a married couple that gets off on hooking up with other people. It may be their thing, but it's certainly not Dennah and Gil's, and they book it out of there. Although, Gil is still pretty proud of himself for going on his first date since the divorce.

That night, instead of being honest with each other about their television treachery, Jake and Annie continue to pretend neither of them has seen it, and happily head to the bedroom to watch it together. Who needs honesty when you have "The Moors!"
