The episode begins with a group therapy session. To get Grace off her case, Rebecca says everything she believes she wants to hear. She did, after all, take a psychology course in college. Rebecca rambles on about daddy issues and a failed relationship. She admits that her engagement ring is a reminder of her failure. Oops! Guess Grace got her reluctant roomie to finally open up after all.

Bobby learns he and Rebecca are invited to a romp call the next day. The two docs better study up just in case they get called out. Cut to Marks who is talking with his wife back home. She sounds a little off and says there's something they need to talk about. Just as we're about to hear the drama, the colonel's pager goes off. Looks like we'll have to wait.

Bobby treats a Master Sergeant who is complaining of arm pain but refuses to get a biopsy done on a possible cancerous mole. Despite his doctor's protests, the Master Sergeant refuses to cooperate. They eventually compromise. If the Master Sergeant is allowed to go on a mission that night with his men, he will return for the biopsy the next day. Deal!

Bobby later discovers that the uncooperative Master Sergeant has sustained serious injuries from his night mission. We learn he charged in ahead of his unit to distract the Taliban. He's being hailed as a hero in what they're calling a "suicide mission". Bobby can't help but feel responsible when the Master Sergeant dies on the operating table.

Disaster strikes on a seemingly calm day. The Taliban ruins a couple's wedding day as wounded guests flood the hospital. The groom is seriously injured but is more concerned about his fiancée, who is nowhere to be found. They probably didn't plan on spending their honeymoon in the hospital. Rebecca puts word out that the bride is missing and everyone is on the lookout. Guess she won't be getting much study time in before the romp call.

Rebecca has located the missing bride-to-be. It's a heart-warming moment when she's reunited with her groom. Unfortunately, Rebecca says she may not be able to have children if her wounds are too severe. This is devastating news.

Before the bride-to-be goes into surgery, the couple has one last request. They want to get married. Now! After a tender ceremony, the woman is rushed into surgery. Fortunately, Rebecca tells the happy newlyweds that the operation was a huge success and they will be able to have children after all.

As a wedding gift, Rebecca gives the couple her old engagement ring. She says they can sell it and start a new life with the money. In spite of everything, maybe Rebecca really does have a soft spot for true love. It's also a nice little act of closure.

After staying up all night to help patients, you'd think our favorite docs would be off their A-game at the romp meeting. Not a chance. Bobby challenges his superior by stating there should be a different protocol in the field for the use of needle decompressions. He's then afraid that he overstepped his boundaries. Turns out the Colonel wasn't irritated by Bobby's initiative. Nope, he was proud.

Oh, and remember that "need to talk" conversation the Colonel had with his wife? Turns out that she just wanted to let him know that she let their son attend a music festival. The Colonel got all worked up over nothing. At the end of a long day of tested relationships, the episode ends with Simon and Rebecca toasting to new beginnings and happy endings. It sounds uplifting, but do you think these two could ever overcome their cynical ways? Guess anything is possible in a war zone.
