Walker family meeting! Yeah, these usually don't go so well ...

This is a particularly awkward gathering as Kevin and Justin have serious news: Tommy ditched them while they were on vacation in Mexico. And with serious jail time in his future for embezzling money from Ojai Foods, it's not likely Tommy is coming back to the U.S. Ever.

Distraught over his brother's disappearance, Justin instinctively runs to Rebecca for support, even though she dumped him. However, Ryan is already at her apartment, asking her for help tracking down William Walker's whereabouts at the time of his mother's death. Though, when Justin shows up, Ryan beats a hasty retreat.

When Kitty tells Robert the news about Tommy, he is especially cruel to her. We know he's not in his right mind recuperating from heart surgery, but still he's too vicious. When Kitty worries she may never see her brother again, Robert responds: "GOOD!" So, Kitty rushes out of the house, taking Evan with her to the park where she meets a friendly father, Alec (Matt Letscher), who recognizes her from her old TV show. Alec's eyes, though, tell us he's got more than TV on his mind.

At Rebecca's, Justin tells her how much he missed her while he was in Mexico. She's missing him, too, but she can't deal getting in the middle of Walker conflicts anymore since he'll always choose his family over her. We're sick of him doing that, too. That's why we're disturbed when he doesn't tell her about Tommy disappearing. Rebecca agrees to give Justin another chance – but only as friends. They can hang out casually and see where things go.

The Walkers – minus Tommy obviously – all gather for the grand opening of Nora's cancer family charity home. Robert has even made an appearance giving the dedication speech. And, of course, he's managed to make sure lots of press are covering the occasion. He still has a governor race to run, after all. As he works the press, Kitty runs into somebody she didn't expect: Alec, who lost his wife to cancer. Is he stalking her?

Also, Nora has other things on her mind besides her charity, even roping in Saul to help execute her master plan. She's invited all the board members of Ojai Foods to the opening, hoping to convince each of them to drop the embezzlement charges against Tommy. If they do that, then he can come home in peace.

When Justin and Ryan find themselves alone together, it's not pretty. Ryan, who's turning out to be a pretty astute guy, recognizes that Justin didn't invite Rebecca to the opening, probably trying to keep Tommy's disappearance from her. The truth hurts. That's why Justin blows up at him, "You don't belong here!" Ryan responds, "Belong? That's why you think I'm here?"

Ryan is also turning out to be a bit of a sneak, too. He runs from the party and calls Rebecca right away to tell her all about Tommy Walker running off to Mexico. So, when Justin goes to see her after the opening, she promptly kicks him right back out for hiding the truth from her. Good for her!

Later that night, Sarah shows up at Nora's with some big news. She called all the Ojai Foods board members personally and now they're going to bring her back as president so that the company can stay with the Walkers. Uh oh, how's Holly going to take that? Surprisingly, very well. At the board meeting the next day, she agrees the embezzlement charges against Tommy should be dropped.

The board votes and ... they're dropping the charges! Tommy can come home again! Holly sounds very sincere about wanting to work things out with Sarah’s return to the company, but don't blame us for being suspicious.

And, even later that night, in the Ojai Foods archive room, Rebecca and Ryan go through dusty old boxes. She finds something interesting. An expense report proves that William Walker was in Reno the same night that Ryan's mother was. The night before she committed suicide.

Ryan doesn't need any more proof. Either directly or indirectly, William Walker killed his mother.
