AceShowbiz - Chance Perdomo will not be replaced by anyone on "Gen V". In a statement, the show producers declared that they won't recast the actor's role after his tragic death nearly two months prior.
"As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory," the producers stated. "We won't be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance."
"Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May," they continued. "We will honor Chance and his legacy this season."
The production of "Gen V" second season was initially postponed following Perdomo's untimely demise in March. The producers paid tribute to Perdomo's exceptional character and talent, describing him as "charming, smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person."
Perdomo's passing was confirmed by his publicist. In a statement, the publicist said, "It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo's untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident. Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him."
Born on October 19, 1996, in Los Angeles, California, Perdomo's passion for acting led him to London, where he honed his skills at the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting. His breakthrough role came as Ambrose Spellman in "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide.
Perdomo also showcased his versatility in the TV movie "Killed by My Debt" and the "After" film series alongside Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. His talent shone through in his portrayal of characters with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
