AceShowbiz - Film fans in Barbados have prompted the nation's censors to reverse a ban on Oscar-nominated movie "Black Swan". The country's film board officials initially blacklisted the ballet thriller because of its sexual and violent content, but letters from moviegoers keen to see the the drama and an online petition forced the censors to reconsider their decision.
The movie will be released this weekend. Natalie Portman is the favorite to land a Best Actress Oscar on Sunday, February 27 for her role in the film.
The movie recently made a headline after a Latvian man shot dead a cinemagoer for being too noisy while eating his popcorn. A dispute broke out at Riga's Forum Cinemas complex on Saturday, February 19 towards the end of the film, and 42-year-old Aigars Egle was shot during the end credit.
